GROW

Ariana Arenius | ARCH 2020 | Spring 2018

This housing project promotes a relationship between the landscape and the built environment. It is designed as a series of interconnected vertical towers. The placement of the garden terraces for each apartment on every floor varies. This move is meant to mimic the patterns of a flower. As it grows, it not only becomes taller, but its arrangement of the petals changes as it follows the sun. The vegetation of the site and towers work together to create a blended environment. The contrast between the physical greenery and the orthogonal forms create a balanced dialogue for a new, more comfortable living space.
