Suburbia, as a sprawling phenomenon in the U.S. and globally, needs to be re-addressed in order to bring out the rooted utopian dream in suburban housing.
We studied a nearby suburban neighborhood in Preston Ave, Charlottesville, and attempted to bring in a new housing type: collective housing shares between locals and university students, in order to create a new communal environment for the area.
